We pride ourselves on doing leading edge work.
We combine creativity with rigorous factual, legal, and economic analysis, which often puts us on the leading edge of the law. Our cases are rarely routine, and they are never repetitive. If you like routine, consistency, and high volume, this may not be the firm for you.
We are genuine and decent people. We treat everyone with the dignity and respect that all human beings deserve, no matter whether they are clients, couriers, or opposing counsel.
This also helps us to keep our minds open to a diversity of ideas – our respect for everyone helps us to recognize good ideas when they arrive from unexpected sources.
Doing great work for our clients is always our focus, but once in a while, if we are lucky, we also get a chance to contribute to the development of the law in a socially valuable way.
And we are flexible. We don’t want you hanging around the office at 6 pm just to be seen. There is no reason why you can’t do some of your work at home – we don’t really care where you do the work, as long as it gets done.
We accept applications for part time work or other flexible working arrangements. We recognize that talented women in particular may be excluded from legal careers because of the challenge of balancing family and work in a traditional law firm model.
Available PositionsTruth and Reconciliation
We are committed to the process of truth and reconciliation reflected in the Law Society of British Columbia’s new Indigenous Intercultural Course. Reflecting our desire to have a diversity of ideas and histories in our firm, we are seeking Indigenous candidates for all roles.
